We are Olesia and Catarina, two friends with a shared dream.
In 2018, we started YOYUU to create simple, beautiful cotton underwear made for everyday comfort.
→ ABOUT THE NAMING
YOYUU is a Japanese word, pronounced "yo-yuu"
It has no direct equivalent in English.
It expresses a state of inner calm, balance, quiet confidence,
and the ability to embrace whatever life brings.
We wanted every woman to feel comfortable, regardless of her size.

→ 2018
Launched our first underwear collection.
→ 2019
Created and launched our period underwear, and expanded our size range to 4XL
→ 2020
Developed and patented our period underwear set with attachable pads
→ 2022–2023
Designed and launched our menstrual cup
→ 2024
Developed and released a swimwear collection up to size 4XL
→ 2026
Launched our European direction with production in Hungary
→ WITH CARE, FROM UDMURTIA & BUDAPEST
Our first production was established in Udmurtia in 2018. In 2026, we expanded to Europe and launched production in Budapest, Hungary ❤️
Every piece is made in ethical working conditions by small manufacturing teams that share our commitment to quality, comfort, and thoughtful craftsmanship.
We use certified fabrics with a high cotton content (typically 95% cotton), all carrying the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. Most of our threads and elastics are OEKO-TEX® certified as well.
Our key material partners are located in Poland, supplying threads and lingerie trims, and Turkey, where we source our cotton fabrics and selected elastics.

We believe in making only what is needed.
Our collections are produced in small batches to avoid overproduction and unnecessary waste. Sometimes this means your order may take a little longer while we make it especially for you — and we believe it's worth the wait.
